Eugene Delacroix- Born 26 April 1798 and died 13 August 1863. He was a French Romantic artist regarded from the start of his career as the leader of the French Romantic school. Delacroix's use of expressive brushstrokes and his study of the optical effects of color profoundly shaped the work of the Impressionists.
Francisco Goya- Born 30 March 1746 and died 16 April 182, he was a Spanish romantic painter and printmaker regarded both as the last of the Old Masters and the first of the moderns. Goya was court painter to the Spanish Crown for most of his career
Theodore Gericault- Born 26 September 1791 and died 26 January 1824, he was an influential French painter known for The Raft of the Medusa and other paintings. Though he died young, he was one of the pioneers of the Romantic movement.
